Last night, some of the people from BTI were going to the old TC campus to play softball. Unfortunately, Steve and I had to politely decline because we wanted to stay home with Brandon and Callie. We decided to saty in and watch National Treasure 2 with the kids and Frankie. Callie's temperature came back with a vengence of nearly 103. She was actually still and fairly quiet on the couch saying, "Mommy, I don't feel well." Stuffy nose, fever, fatigue...the whole nine yards. Brandon, was cleaning up along the fence line last week and got into some poison sumac.
Well, we have been treating it topically to no avail. Not only was the topical medication not working but now, out of nowhere.....it's spreading. Nothing is touching this stuff and it's getting worse. I finally call and make an appointment for him. Our appointment was for 9:45 this morning. We take our places in the ever noisy waiting area. Seriously, this place was horribly loud. I do beleive that every misbehaved child in Bradley County was in there this morning.
Anyway 10:00 rolls around.....10:15. O.k., now I'm mad. I go up to the desk and ask when are we going to be seen. They say that he is running late today, but they are not sure why. We finally get into the docs office at 10:30. The doctor asked the perverbial "How are you today!" Well, there's a loaded question.
I politely, yet firmly responded, "We sure have been waiting a long time to see you."
"I got a late start this morning."
I didn't say a word
"I had some babies in the hospital."
WHAT?????? I don't think so. If he had babies in the hospital, the front office would have been aware of that instead of telling me that they didn't know why he was running late today.
After looking at Brandon for all of 2 minutes, he gave us a perscription to get this stuff out of Brandon's system. I am still mad. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time for a 5 minute once over and a perscription. I need to run and pick up his medicine and cool off a little. AArghhh!!!

Poor Brandon...is he itching really bad? How's Callie feeling? Did her temp come back down? We'll be praying for them.
BTW...you did REAL good with the doctor.
Brandon is actually doing pretty good. We have some Benadryl gel that helps. Callie's temp has come down a little. Thanks, it took all the sanctification in me w/the doc.
That cold junk is really going around. Sam and I had it last week. Cathy and Micele and Connor and Malachi have it this week,. Crazy crazy.. I even talked to Rob Taylor today and he has it. It is just going around. I hope Callie gets rid of it SOON. Poor girl. I hope Brandon gets well soon tooPraying for ya'll
